Men!

The challenge this week at Make My Monday is "Male Themed". Check out the projects from my fellow dt members for lots of great ideas!

My project is a tag. It's actually an Art Parts tag from Wendy Vecchi. These tags are made from thick paperboard. I covered mine with paper, but you could paint, ink or cover them with fabric.

First, I used three different patterned papers from my stash to cover the tag. I flipped it over and cut between the pointy edges at the bottom with a craft knife. Then I inked the tag. Next I added my man!! He is from Tim Holtz's "Found Relatives". Lastly, I added my embellishments: Tim Holtz gears, buckle, pen nib and edge of a ticket.

I have old ledger paper and I ripped the words "The Hollingsworth Gear Company" from a piece, inked the edges and added it to the bottom of the photo, going over the top of one gear. A piece of ribbon and the word Remember (from Jillibean Soup) were the finishing touches.
