For my card, I stamped the girl fairy and chalked her wings, words on the dress and crown. I added a few mushroom stickers, a wood veneer piece and rhinestones on the crown. The paper is from Cosmo Cricket.
Hi, it's Joan with a Moxxie post featuring the Busy Boy collection. What a darling line of papers these are: from monsters to tools to race cars and more! I made a scrapbook page about my great-nephew, Liam, who says "no" to everything!
I began my layout by cutting a piece of background paper (the teal side of the Handy Helper paper.) I attached this paper to a piece of white cardstock, which I then mounted onto an 8.5"x11" piece of black cardstock. Next I cut a piece from the Little Monster paper. Then I cut three strips in varying sizes and patterns and added them behind the photo.
I used one of the little monsters from the Busy Boy rub-on sheet by putting it on white cardstock and punching it out with a scallop punch. The border piece is from the Busy Boy sticker sheet - I trimmed the border down to fit across the bottom of my monster paper. I kept what was left, because it can still be used on a card or tag. I attached the border with pop dots, then the monster rub-on and finally pop dotted the quote sticker at the top of the photo.
Liam is a sweet little guy, but like any three year old, he has some "little monster" in him as well!
Hi, it's Joan, here today to share with you an owl card I made using Kaisercraft's "Tea Break" papers. Using my Sizzix owl die, I cut the owl pieces in different patterned papers, inked the edges with brown chalk ink, and put the owl together on a green background. I punched some small flowers for the top of the head and added a wood veneer heart to the body. The eye circles were punched from cardstock.
I really like to paper piece - it's fun! There is a big variety of patterned papers in "Tea Break" and that makes it easy to use for paper piecing. You can buy this line of Kaisercraft papers at the Speedy Scrappers store.
The theme this week at Make My Monday is "Anniversaries". I stamped a card using this funny version of "American Gothic". (I'm not sure of the stamp company so I can't give them credit).
I always thought "American Gothic" was a painting of a husband and wife. However, I did some research and discovered that the artist meant the painting to represent a farmer and his daughter. My apologies to Grant Wood (the artist), but I am using this couple for an anniversary card.
To make the card, I inked a piece of white cardstock with Tim Holtz distress inks in yellow, pink, orange and purple. Next, the stamp was inked with black ink and stamped onto the Distress Ink piece. I trimmed it down, added two pieces of washi tape over the bottom (circles and lines on top). The brown frame was die cut from a Spellbinders die. The background paper is from BoBunny.

Hello, it's Joan, here to share a card I made. I love the gorgeous "Tea Break" papers from Kaisercraft! I think the background paper with the roses is so pretty on it's own, that I kept the rest of the card fairly simple. I added a die cut doily (from the green paper), a smaller white doily and then the yellow die cut label with the edges inked brown. I extended the doilies above the top of the card. Finally, I added a wood veneer heart. The card is 6"x4.5" (white cardstock).
