Gecko Galz 4th Annual Blog Hop.
First up is a card.
How did it get to be Wednesday already? This week is flying by! My MMM post is 2 days late, but I guess it's better late than never at all! Our theme this week is Shabby Chic. I made this tag, using items from my stash. Join us at Make My Monday and enter to win.
The design team reveal for Just Imagine Crafts/Kreaxions punches is up on the blog today. The theme is fall and there are so many amazing projects by the team!! I made this pumpkin card using the Kreaxions circle cutter and oval template. The paper is Doodlebug's new Fall line.
You may win a great prize!! Check out the Moxxie blog hop here.
This week at Make My Monday we are asking you to link up your Halloween projects. I made this banner, using some older K&Co cutouts I had in my stash. I cut the banner pieces, added the Halloween figures and a letter on each piece to spell out the word BOO. I adhered the orange trim to the top of each banner piece. A tab of orange polka dotted ribbon and black polka dotted buttons wrapped around the ribbon and attached to the back of each banner piece. I strung the banner together with black ribbon.
Here is a close up of one banner piece.
Hi, it's Joan, and I'm here to share a scrapbook page about my daughter. She loved horses and was in a 4-H horse club for six years. She rode English and Western. We were at horse shows every week-end, all summer long. In this photo, she is barrel racing on her first horse, Paul.
For this page, I used three papers from Moxxie's new Grid Iron line, along with 100% Country from Western Round-up (the plaid paper). The large orange paper is from Autumn Glory. It's nice to mix and match papers from different lines and have them go together wonderfully!
I also used stickers from East meets West and the new white and brown alphabet stickers.
I distressed the two photo mats by running my fingernail along the side of each paper. I ripped some spots and then inked with dark brown ink. Finally, I added some blue twine and silver metal dots to the page. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Today I'm sharing two projects. The first is my pink lady collage that I made for the Just Imagine/Kreaxions dt. My pink lady is made from two character constructions stamps. I inked her shirt and cage skirt and added a bird and flowers from my stash. To really make this page pretty, I finished it with Kreaxions punches! I used punch #905 and the star template to make the pink doily that is behind her head. Then I used punch #923 with no inserts to make the border. I also cut the word dream and the cloud shape from the dream cloud style die. I am pleased with this collage and hope you like it too!
My next project is a tag I made for Make My Monday. The theme this week is Numbers. I sprayed my tag with Dylusions spray ink and then layered on the #2 tag from K& Co. The bird was added to a Martha Stewart doily, a gold brad added to the top and finally some Martha S. gold leaves. Play along with us this week at MMM!
I'm glad you stopped by my blog today! I used Moxxie's new Zombie Attack! line to create these paper rosettes. I attached them to straws and put them in an orange bottle that I covered with the Zombie paper and the Got Flesh sticker. Wouldn't these be fun at a Halloween party? You could also use them to decorate cupcakes.
Here is a close up of the rosettes.
I used a Tim Holtz die to make my rosettes. However, if you don't have a die, here is a link to a you tube video tutorial on making paper rosettes using a strip of paper and a scoreboard.
Have a wonderful day and enjoy the Moxxie blog hop!!
The theme this week at Make My Monday is Babies/Children. I had this fuzzy lamb sticker in my stash for years! So I used it to make a clean and simple baby card. I also used a piece of BG polka dotted paper (June Bug I think), a white card base and a Jillibean Soup label. I hope you will join us at Make My Monday and submit your baby/children project.
I have a sneak peek today of a scrapbook page I made for The Robin's Nest. I used October's featured product: Fleur cardstock - which is fabulous! The full layout is on The Chattering Robins blog - I hope you will head over there and take a look!
It's October!! Such a beautiful month here in Ohio - I love the changing leaves and the purples in the fields. The RAQ at Unruly Paper Arts this month is Harvest Bounty. There are lots of great inspiration pieces by the design team to check out.
Create something with this theme, link it up on the Unruly page and you may just win a set of Pan Pastels! (There is also a video on the RAQ page, link above, that shows how to use Pan Pastels in your artwork.)
For Gecko Galz this month, there are lots of great holiday collage sheets for purchase. I used an image from the Thanksgiving sheet (Pilgrims Pride #2) along with paper from Song in my Heart and made a card.
I also used the wonderful Vintage Portraits collage sheet and created a canvas, which I titled "Family Tree". This was such fun to make!
