Eye Candy

This box was waiting for me today after work - talk about eye candy!! My sister and her husband went to Mainstreet Cupcakes in Hudson, OH, and bought the yummiest cupcakes ever! In my box, lemon, coconut, wedding, vanilla & carrot cake. Yum!!!

New challenge blog!

There is a new challenge blog, "Scrapper's Block?", and the first challenge was to do a layout without using any pattern paper.

Image transfers

These are some image transfers I did on bamboo. These bamboo pieces were from a placemat I cut apart. I like the old, faded look of the transfers.

Earth Day

Happy Earth Day!! This is a page I did that is in a garden fatbook put together by a Yahoo group I am a member of.... Sisters of the Secret Fatbook Society. We do various fatbooks throughout the year and then meet at Artiscape and trade charms and a special fatbook with the Artiscape theme. Everyone is super nice and it's a really fun group!

Artiscape!!!

Back from an art week-end in Columbus, OH. My sister and I took 6 classes. This was one of them - soldering. I was sure that I would end up with burned fingers, but no, my fingers stayed safe!
I made four charms. These two are my best. It was a fun skill to learn. Now I need to keep practicing so I can get my soldering perfected. Or at least improved!

She dreams of Paris...

This is a scrapbook page I did of my mother. She was in plays and performed on stage when she was a young woman. She always wanted to travel, but never did. This was always one of my favorite pictures of her!

Small art

I like making small collages on 1 1/2" squares. I use scraps, rub-ons, images and other bits of things I find on my art table.
I ink the edges of the chipboard. Sometimes I put a magnet on the back of the piece.

Tim Holtz Class

My sister and I took several workshops from Tim Holtz this past summer. He is a fantastic artist and teacher! These are pictures of the hand class. We used a mannequin hand you can find in art stores and layered it up! This was a fun class!

Snow!

Don't you just love it?! Spring in Ohio....never know what the weather will do!
The weatherman said it's not spring until we see the snow on the daffodils. Took the top picture at the neighbor's house tonight.
Not the best photo, but it was freezing out there!!

Style change

"Bliss" is a bit older; Ravenna Balloon-A-Fair is newer. I've gotten into adding patterned papers to the background. Still like to use a lot of embellishments!
